Caregiving is a crisis hiding in plain sight.

Tens of millions of families coordinate care with sticky notes and group texts. Elpis, named for the ancient Greek spirit of hope, is the calm, shared place that work deserves.

The problem

More than 50 million Americans care for an aging or ailing family member — most unpaid, most improvising. The work is scattered across paper calendars, pill organizers and three different group chats. Medications get missed, appointments slip, distant siblings are left guessing, and one person quietly burns out. There is no calm, shared source of truth for a family caring together.

What we built

Elpis (the Greek word for hope) brings everything about caring for one person into a single shared place: a care calendar with appointments, medications and daily check-ins; missed-item and red-flag alerts; a family chat; a shared supplies list; and granular, invite-only access so families control exactly who sees what. Private by design — each care record is walled off to the people invited to it.

The model

Free for families to start, with paid tiers for larger care circles and premium coordination features. A professional plan for home-care agencies and geriatric care managers who run many care records, and white-label options for health systems and senior-living operators. Straightforward SaaS — we are paid by the people we serve, never by selling their data.

Why now

Around 10,000 Americans turn 65 every day, families are more geographically spread than ever, and caregiver burnout is a recognized public-health issue. The tooling to build this at edge scale — with near-zero marginal cost per family — finally exists. The demand is here; the calm, trusted product is not.
